Carolina is a student at Chico State University pursing a Bachelors and then Masters degree in Psychology. She is driven to help others of all ages, and is particularly interested in the Music and Memory program. Carolina is culturally sensitive, having grown up in a Spanish- speaking household.
Carolina has worked extensively as a nanny, administrative assistant at a law firm, and been a hostess. She is passionate about mental health and is an intern for UMatter at Chico State as well, which focuses on promoting positive mental health behaviors.
Deena is a Bay Area native with a passion for service and holistic healing. She recently earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of San Francisco double majoring in Latin American Studies and Spanish with a minor in Psychology. She is currently obtaining her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University, and is as an attuned practitioner of Usui Reiki.
The integration of Western and Eastern healing modalities, as well as the presence of multiculturalism in mental health care, are of great interest to her. When she’s not working or studying, you’ll find Deena at the beach, exploring the outdoors, creating various types of artwork, or concocting blends of herbs and essential oils.
Kaylee Pickering is a recent graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington with an undergraduate degree in Psychology. She has educational backgrounds in both research and counseling psychology.
Kaylee recently moved to California from Maine to pursue graduate studies for Marriage and Family Therapy.
She is taking a year off to gain experience through her internship with One Life as well as travel and volunteer abroad.
Lexi Davirro is a senior psychology major at Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA. Throughout High School and College Lexi has enjoyed working with and mentoring children and adolescents through her involvement with Children’s Health Council and Girls Council. She is currently working at The Big Lift in Menlo Park, a program that aims to reduce summer learning loss among children in the Bay Area.
Lexi hopes to pursue a career in a counseling related field. Lexi also enjoys running, hiking, taking online personality tests and baking homemade chocolate chip cookies.
